SSR PERFORMANCE BACK AT TOP OF DTM TABLE WITH VICTORY

Podiums, trophies, bang! For SSR Performance, the start of the second half of the DTM season at the Lausitzring was equally successful and disappointing: On Saturday, Mirko Bortolotti took second place and thereby significantly reduced the gap to the championship leader. With a start-finish victory on Sunday, the Italian then perfected his lead in the standings. Unfortunately, fellow works driver Franck Perera had to retire from both races early. “Sometimes joy and sorrow are closely related. With Mirko, we regained the lead in the drivers’ standings, but Franck’s retirement from both races was tough for us. The races were heated in the truest sense of the word, but we kept a cool head. What a performance from the entire team,” team owner Stefan Schlund praised the commitment of his Munich crew.
